The Religious Program Of The Liberal Arts College, Milo A. Rediger
Milo Rediger Writings & Addresses
It was not indicated whether I was expected to describe it as it is, define it as it ought to be, discuss its function, or attempt to outline its content. This gives me a wide range and a great deal of freedom, and this is consistent with both the religious and the liberal arts phases of the title. I shall try to establish a frame of reference in an introductory way and then discuss three or four aspects of the subject which my combine something of description, definition, function and content.

Milo Rediger Writings & Addresses
In relation to a student's use of class "cuts" and a teacher's attitude toward them, both are really "on their honor." The policy statement which appears in both the catalog and the student handbook sets forth principles which represent the intention and the spirit of the regulations.

When Are We Spiritual Enough?, Milo A. Rediger
Milo Rediger Writings & Addresses
When are human beings as spiritual as they ought to be? Well, of course, we are fundamentally spiritual in our very constitution and nature. This suggests that spiritual considerations are extremely important to us functionally -- in our attitudes, our contacts, our relationships. The absence of sensitivity to this dimension of life is one of the serious deficiencies of our time.

Milo Rediger Writings & Addresses
Clear thinking is hard work, especially when you go out into the world where the dust of commerce and confusion never settles. It is important, though not easy, to see clearly what are the issues and to determine courses of action relative to them.
Positive, thoughtful and dedicated living in Christ's way is the answer for our time. To be sure, this is different from the thinking of the secular world, but it appeals to, and challenges, the best blood and brains. It is now yours to apply what you have learned and to continue the education that was started …

Milo Rediger Writings & Addresses
What is a Christian college? If it is Christian, it is a good college; it cannot be Christian and condone either inferiority or mediocrity -- it emphasizes excellence or it should not be dignified with the name Christian. It cannot accept all of the young people of a given denomination just because the churches of that denomination support it with finances. Suitability of students is one of the five major concerns of a Christian college.
Goals, procedures, teachers, students, and the college image are the focal points of this presentation.

In all of the change, the growth, the additions, God has enabled us to keep the program in balance. Quality has not suffered because of quantity, and spirituality has not suffered because of academic excellence.

A Heart For The World: A Tribute To The Late Dr. John C. Wengatz, Milo A. Rediger
Milo Rediger Writings & Addresses
Early Thursday morning, March 10, 1977, John C. Wengatz '09 went home to be with the Lord. For those of us who knew John and Helen Wengatz through many years, this was both a sorrow and a joy. But who would not rejoice in the ninety-six years of humble, devoted, and fruitful ministry of this great man of God.
