Philosophy is a broad and rich discipline, ranging from formal logic to epistemology and aesthetics. However, in Therapy of Desire, Martha Nussbaum claims that Ancient Western philosophers were largely concerned with the pursuit of human happiness and flourishing; that is, ‘eudaimonia.’ In this paper, Aristotle’s philosophical position regarding the human person will be examined in an attempt to explain how one is able to attain eudaimonia.
