On June 2–3, 2014, Prewitt and Associates, Inc., conducted an archeological survey for proposed drainage improvements along a ca. 2,800-foot (ft) (853 meter [m]) segment of the Sixmile Creek channel downstream from Roosevelt Avenue in San Antonio, Texas. Desktop research and an earlier field reconnaissance found that the Area of Potential Effects (APE) has little to no potential of yielding significant archeological resources based on the geologic and geomorphic setting and twentieth-century channel and landscape modifications. In late April, 2015, Archaeology Consultants, Inc., performed a cultural resources survey for the Donna Independent School District Aquatic Center and Walking Trail Project in Hidalgo County, Texas. About 6.65 acres was surveyed. The location of the project area within public school district property and within a region known to contain numerous archeological sites prompted the Texas Historical Commission to recommend the survey for compliance with the Antiquities Code of Texas. The Commission issued Texas Antiquities Permit 7163 for the survey.

In July 2014 Deep East Texas Archaeological Consultants (DETAC) conducted a cultural resource management survey of the proposed Lindale Community Park with National Recreational Trails Funds administered by Texas Parks and Wildlife. The initial phase of park development is a cement walking trail, trail side amenities, and three parking areas; however, future development will impact a majority of the park property; therefore, the entire property (9.6 hectare (23.6 acres)) was surveyed. In January 2015, TAS Inc. conducted a pedestrian survey of two proposed pipelines in northern Crockett and southern Reagan counties. The U22-19Aer pipeline right-of-way (ROW) would run in a generally SE-NW direction for .714 miles (1.149 km), covering 6.49 acres, and the U47-2Aer ROW generally SW-NE for 2.34 miles (3.83 km), covering 21.27 acres. These pipelines would converge at a facility in SE Reagan County. The proposed ROWs cross University Lands Block 48, Sections 22, 23, and 24, and Block 47, Section 2. On the 30th and 31st of December 2014 Deep East Texas Archaeological Consultants (DETAC) conducted a cultural resource management survey of the proposed 15.3 kilometers (9.5 miles) of sewer lines and a one acre expansion of an existing water treatment facility in the community of Redland, Texas. All 15.3 km (9.5 mi) were examined and shovel tests were excavated in areas not disturbed by drainage ditches, road surfaces, or other buried utilities. On March 11, 2015, and on behalf of the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), SWCA Environmental Consultants conducted an intensive cultural resources survey with systematic mechanical excavations at the Farm-to-Market (FM) 8 and Hog Creek crossing in Eastland County. These investigations for the Austin District were conducted for the proposed replacement of an existing bridge. The work was conducted in compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (54 USC 306108) and the Antiquities Code of Texas (9 NRC 191). During the month of December 2014, Goshawk Environmental Consulting, Inc. (Goshawk) conducted two cultural resources surveys within the Eagle Ford Play, Central Eagle Ford Zone at the request of EOG Resources, Inc. (EOG). The two project areas subjected to cultural resources investigations included the proposed Ginobili-Leonard Gathering Pipeline and HB Unit #1H, #2H, and #3H Access Road. (Horizon) conducted an intensive cultural resources survey within the 586.0-acre Flat Creek Mitigation Bank Project in Henderson County, Texas (Project Area). Although the Project Area is located on private property and will be developed and maintained with private funds, the enhancement of US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) jurisdictional wetland areas within the mitigation bank via vegetation planting activities will require the usage of a Nationwide Permit (NWP) issued by the USACE.
