The 1936 meeting of the Kings Mountain Baptist Association took place at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Shelby, NC. The introductory sermon was delivered by W. G. Camp. The State Missions report indicated that great work is being done at the Oteen Mission hospital, which has 800 tubercular patients. The State Missions report recommends that all churches observe State Mission Day on the fourth Sunday in October, or some other time during the year. The Baptist Training Union report indicated that the Adult Union, which was created in the last few years, makes valuable contributions to the Baptist Training Union.
