Drayton writes he is glad to hear that McCauley's health is improving and invites him to Washington, D.C. if he has time to visit. At the time of writing, McCauley was a Lieutenant Commander in the Navy and Drayton was head of the Bureau of Navigation and Office of Detail within the Navy; this letter is written on the bureau's stationary.

This 44 page ledger contains Dr. John H. A. Bomberger's handwritten notes about the sermons preached during his final four years as pastor of the First Reformed Church of Easton, Pennsylvania. Entries contain the date, time of day, place, Biblical text and theme for each sermon. Often, additional remarks are found about the occasion of the sermon (a Confirmation, Communion, funeral, Harvest sermon or cornerstone laying, for example), the weather, and attendance. Includes seal under paper accompanied by signature of governor Thomas M. Kean. Dimensions of tract resemble modern day dimensions of Athens Borough in Bradford County, Pennsylvania.
