This collection was assembled by Delma Eugene Presley and Norris Kemp Mabry and includes materials related to the Altahama Raft Festival. The festival was part of the National Endowment for the Humanities funded Project RAFT: Restoring Altamaha Folklife Traditions which resulted from interviews with people who lived in the Altamaha River Valley. Materials include first-day cover letters, poster, newspaper clippings, promotional and interpretive brochures.

Materials Include correspondence, clippings, printed material, press releases, and memoranda pertaining to Kennedy's activities as Georgia Senator, 4th District (1967-1984), President Pro Tempore (1983-1984), and his unsuccessful campaign for Lt. Governor in 1990. The materials document legislation before the General Assembly and matters of interest to Kennedy's constituents including flag burning and natural resources.
