First Set is a collection of poetry by Alfonso Zapata, with poems contained therein from as long ago as 2015. This thesis and project examines art, especially music, and its effects on memory and emotion. The world that these poems explicate is charged with passion and drive, spurred on by the continuous exposure to art in its characters both fictional and autobiographical.
