The unique blending of raw, figurative abstractions and a timeless illustrative style stand at the core of our work. This was a conscious effort to seek out the newest and boldest works in the field, created by Texas artists. Inspiration is derived from everyday life experiences. We are relying on the improvisational emergence of creating. The work as a whole reflects a pursuit of presenting expressive ideas and capturing emotion in a two dimensional format. From each canvas, panel and brush stroke, release emotions, ideas, and uniue perceptions just for you, the viewer.

I have found through sociological research and observation that body language defines how people perceive us. The importance of the first handshake, the manner we bring our hands together while talking, or the way students use their fist to rest on their chin while in class -- all these mannerisms explain to the potential employer, the vivid listener, or the professor how we feel without consciously knowing it. The purpose of my work is to expand awareness to professionals towards implications of their presented body language.

My group had the opportunity to receive real world experience from several advertising agencies, schools, museums, and self sufficient artists. We observed art and design from timeless pieces in history to contemporary works. The team was also able to network with other students and professionals in our field.
