Finding aid only for Folklife Archives Project 1350. Folklife project titled "Antiques" by John Michael Downey for a folk studies class at Western Kentucky University. It is hoped that the contents of this thesis will help to provide a course of action through which the dramatic arts program may move closer to the objectives established for it by the HDRP administration. The dramatic arts program for adults, as set forth in the thesis, should create specific goals so that the HDRP may provide a consistent direction for the development of a dramatic arts program for adults. A Study Of The Influence Of The Lyrical Prose Novels Of Virginia Woolf And Hermann Hesse On The Creative Process In Intaglio Printmaking, Kathleen Heather Embree

It is the purpose of this study (1) to emphasize the complementary union between literature and the visual arts; (2) to limit the exploration to those specific lyrical prose writers: Hermann Hesse and Virginia Woolf; (3) to create prints utilizing the novel as a source of image-gathering but which do not retain this identity in the finished work; (4) I to experiment with the division of the plates, as well as cutouts for the effect of creating spatial illusion or imaginary space.
