Senior Art Portfolios
ARTIST STATEMENT
Currently my work consists of designing characters from the ground up and slowly turning them into a form of entertainment for people to watch. My work creates happiness, joy, and a new sense of escape from everyday life. From backgrounds to small details of a storyline, I hone in on the details of the characters personalities and their emotions to keep the story and characters consistent. I use Adobe products to create the colorful images that I present to the people, but I am not afraid to get hands on with any projects and work with pencils or …

Senior Art Porfolio: Exploring Old Family Photos, Rhiannon Cooper

This body of work is an experimentation of mixed media as well as an interpretation of my personal family history. This work has sprouted from my early childhood days when I would visit my great-grandma every week and she would show me old photos and tell me stories about them. Even today, I ask my grandparents questions about photos I find and they tell me new stories.
Color, texture, composition, and the contrast of abstraction and realism are key elements in the making of my work. The more realistic features are used to highlight what it is that I find …

My senior art final is a booklet featuring illustrations of couples over fifty in varying scenes of sexual intimacy with comedic twists. In my eyes, sex should not be treated with such seriousness, and instead is something that should be laughed at, as it is a hilarious experience filled with pinched nerves, weird faces, and off-putting bodily noises. Learning to laugh at the things that make people uncomfortable is an important way to normalize them and allow others to talk about it without judgement or shame. With this work, I intend to poke holes in the idealized image western society …

Family Ties, Walter Mcbride
Senior Art Portfolios
As I am approaching the end of my college career, I am currently working on a series of digital illustrations of my immediate family. My motivation behind my project is the fact that my family has always supported me whenever I needed them the most. This project was my way of showing them my love and appreciation. Growing up with my family, I’ve established connections with them on multiple levels. I am appreciative of all of the sacrifices they’ve made for me over the years in order to help me be the man I am today. My mom, being the …
