This catalog features work from a memorial exhibition of drawings and paintings by the late Kimmerly Kiser held at Robert and Elaine Stein Galleries. Kiser was a professor of painting and drawing at Wright State University from 1969 to 1995. He continued teaching as faculty emeritus until his passing in 2006. The exhibition ran from January 25 through February 6, 2009.

Introduction
Most Turkish names have functional meanings. By an auspicious quirk of chance, occasionally by determinism, some names provide an apt characterization of the bearer's talents or personality. So it is with the artist llgim Veryeri-Alaca, whose given name signifies "mirage" and married name denotes "speckled" or "spectral." Her variegated pieces, embracing such norms and techniques as collage, lacework, engraving, ebru (marbled paper), and watercolor, wondrously integrate her Middle Eastern (or specifically Turkish) aesthetics with her mastery of Western craftsmanship.

"Current Charts: Chosen Lands", by Richard Fisher, was the title of an exhibition ho s ted by the Fine Arts Gallery from February 9 through March 1, 1978. It comprised sixty-six works spatially and formally separated into two groups by the two levels of the gallery. The lower level presented forty-one works, primarily surface castings of specific sites along the Massachusetts coast, while the upper level housed the artist's Eco-Earth , an incomplete series of twenty-five imaginative drawings.
