The subject of children and adults within spatial environments in two and three dimension, all are included to form the basis of this thesis projects. The paper describes the subject matter by means of procedures, references, and methods of presentation.

Chapter I explains the overall problems, the materials incorporated, and shows actual photographs of the work. Chapter II provides historical precedents relevant to the topic chosen. Chapter III involves a presentation which uses three separate aspects inviting the spectator to join in and by participating relate to each experience in his or her own way.

The objective of this paper is to focus attention on the versatility of the solid geometric box and its variations as utilized by the author in creating a multitude ot interchangeable sculpture from a single set of boxes. The intent of the artist, in using the box, was to create a set of boxes which could be arranged in a variety of positions to become at each time a unique and valid sculpture. My intention in painting and drawing is to demonstrate luminous effects in an atmospheric field.

In painting, attention is directed to various color impressions. A color may be perceived as iridescent, metallic, filmy, voluminous, hard, etc. Also, an overall tinted atmosphere establishes a misty field in which these color impressions are displayed. A systematically prepared palette of adjusted colors is then formed. The idea is a planned color effect transforming design elements.

In drawing, light and dark contrast control sets the illumination character. Various graphitic media are used to render atmospheric perspective and delineate objects in space. Impressions of texture, …

The firing temperatures range from low fire white ware to high fire salt.
