Terrestrial broadcasting, which has been the sole preserve of the government, provides television coverage to over 90% of India's 900 million people. By the end of 1996 nearly 50 million households had television sets. International satellite broadcasting, introduced in 1991, has swept across the country because of the rapid proliferation of small scale cable systems. Now that competencies for information literacy are widely communicated in higher education, including in Art and Design, assessing student learning of the standards is the next step in fully incorporating information literacy in the discipline. The article focuses on a library home page that is designed from the artist-librarian perspective. It cites the need to include promotional features on a page to advertise resources available from the Web site and sponsored events. It notes that the application of the basic principles of art such as emphasis, harmony and movement is important for a successful composition of the page. Also stated is the use of color on a home page which, according to the author, can result in a page that is vibrant while supportive of the delivery of information.

This presentation discusses research being conducted at the Morris and Helen Belkin Art Gallery as part of the InterPARES 3 Project, which is developing a documentation framework to support the preservation of digital and new media art. The framework includes the use of a questionnaire for artists; a checklist of records that should be created and/or acquired by the Gallery; a file structure that allows the Gallery to maintain its documents and records according to records and archival management best practices; and an analysis of copyright and moral rights issues.
