Many of the artists included in this collection participated in programs offered at, but not limited to, the Kentucky Folklife Festival, Made to be Played Exhibit, apprenticeship programs, and survey or fieldwork that was conducted by the Kentucky Folklife Program. Haile in his shop in Tompkinsville (Monroe County), Kentucky. One label is inscribed to noted guitarist Chet Atkins; the others have not been used.
