They were originally research projects, class papers or essays written for academic credit, but in each case the student has done further work editing and improving his or her manuscript for this publication. Broadside of two ships with illegible inscription at top and dog and shorthand message along the bottom. 559th AAA (AW) BN Paul D. Wint, Jr. in lower right corner. The 559th American Antiaircraft Artillery AW Battalion entered World War II in June 1944.

Broadside of bomb with 835th Chemical Co. Air Operations Municipal Airport by W.D.R. Names inscribed along the top are S/Sgt. Rogers, Cpl. Enright, Pvt. Hamrick, Lt. Holland, Pvt. Benavides, Pvt. Castro and Pvt. Reynolds. Many "thanks" to the people of Bowling Green is written in the lower left corner. The 835th was part of the Army Air Corps during World War II.

Broadside of thanks from the 11th Tactical Reconnassance Squadron [sic]. The inscription in the lower right corner is: The 11th Tal Rcn SQ want to thank the fine people of Bowling Green for the way they received and treated them. The broadside was signed by the members of the squadron and it includes a drawing of a plane with a photograph of "Jim" the pilot. The 11th Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron were stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky during part of World War II.
