Georgetown Independent School District (GISD) has proposed the Willrae Tract project where school facilities will be constructed south of Florence, Williamson County, Texas. GISD retained Terracon Consultants, Inc. to conduct a systematic, intensive pedestrian survey of the approximate 100-acre project area. Because GISD, a political subdivision of the State of Texas, sponsored the project, the proposed undertaking is subject to compliance with the Antiquities Code of Texas and oversight from the Texas Historical Commission. The Leander Independent School District (LISD) contracted Atkins North America (Atkins) to conduct a cultural resources investigation for the proposed Palmera Bluff Elementary School Site Project in western Williamson County, Texas. The project is located approximately 1 kilometer (km) (0.62 miles) southwest of the intersection of the South Fork of the San Gabriel River and Ronald Reagan Boulevard. The proposed work will consist of clearing and excavation to prepare for the construction of an elementary school and associated ancillary facilities. On September 20, 2018, aci consulting conducted a cultural resources survey for the Braun Elevated Storage Tank (EST) Project in Williamson County, Texas. The Area of Potential Effect APE(APE) consists of a square, 0.82-acre (0.33-hectare) area and is located 656 feet (200 meters) north on an unnamed road off of W. State Highway (SH) 29, 1.2 miles (2 kilometers) west of Ronald Reagan Blvd. The entire 0.82-acre area was surveyed in preparation for the installation of the Braun EST (Figures 1 and 2).

At the request of Prime Strategies, Inc., and on behalf of Williamson County, Texas, SWCA Environmental Consultants (SWCA) conducted an intensive cultural resources survey of the proposed realignment of existing County Road (CR) 176 in southwestern Williamson County, Texas. The realignment proposes to construct a direct route from the current intersection of CR 176 and Deer Draw Road to Ranch-to-Market (RM) 2243. The project involves lands owned by Williamson County (a subdivision of the state); therefore, the project is subject to review under the Antiquities Code of Texas (ACT).
