Gospel Reaching Out
The Gospel Reaching Out newsletter was produced by the Hart County Gospel Music Association which was headquartered in Munfordville, Kentucky. Library Special Collections does not own originals or copies of this title.

The Colonelette
On September 22, 1949, Shirley Cupp, Irma Beisel, Frances Stuckey and Mr. Hilary Bufton Jr. met in a coffee shop in downtown Kansas City to incorporate the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA). Jean Fulkerson helped start The Kentucky Colonels Chapter on 3 June 1964 in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Twenty-six women met at Western Hills Restaurant and elected Linda Sidebottom as the first president. Besides providing professional development opportunities for local businesswomen, the Chapter gave scholarships to women furthering their education, and held social and recognition events throughout the year. Their newsletter, “The Colonelette,” was started in June 1964. Also included …

Muhlenberg County Heritage Volume 1, Number 1, Kentucky Library Research Collections
Muhlenberg County Heritage
“The Muhlenberg County [Kentucky] Heritage” was published four times a year by the Muhlenberg County Genealogical Society in Greenville, Kentucky, from 1978 to 2001. The cover title sometimes appears as “The Heritage.” The publication’s purpose was to support the society and to publish information about the genealogy, culture, and history of Muhlenberg County. A separate annual index was printed each year for volumes 1-14. Afterwards, each issue was indexed separately. Generally, the index is to surnames only.

Metriopatheia And Apatheia: Some Reflections On A Controversy In Later Greek Ethics, John M. Dillon
Metriopatheia And Apatheia: Some Reflections On A Controversy In Later Greek Ethics, John M. Dillon
The Society for Ancient Greek Philosophy Newsletter
The controversy about metriopatheia and apatheia, which generated such heat in later Greek philosophy, is one between the concept of a bipartite or tripartite soul, in which the lower part of parts can never be eradicated - at least while the soul is in the body - but must constantly be chastised. In practice, Stoic eupatheia in practice is very similar to a properly moderated Platonic-Aristotelian pathos, but that is irrelevant to the main point. We find in Plutarch and other Platonists of the period a remarkable unwillingness or inability to comprehend what the Stoic position was.
Intellectualism In Aristotle, David Keyt
Intellectualism In Aristotle, David Keyt
The Society for Ancient Greek Philosophy Newsletter
Aristotle maintains that the philosophical or theoretical life is the happiest life and that the political or practical life is the second happiest life, but his notion of the proper relation of these two lives is a matter of scholarly controversy. This paper outlines the various interpretative possibilities and attempts to mediate among them.
Episteme And Doxa: Some Reflections On Eleatic And Heraclitean Themes In Plato, Robert G. Turnbull
Episteme And Doxa: Some Reflections On Eleatic And Heraclitean Themes In Plato, Robert G. Turnbull
The Society for Ancient Greek Philosophy Newsletter
I point out some unnoticed features of the interrelationships between episteme and doxa which help to explain some difficult texts and which I take to be archai for their definitive accounts. Much turns on how 'is' is to be understood, and whether or not it can be said to have different senses.
