Jack Kleinsinger presents Highlights in Jazz. The concert was held at NYU Loeb Student Center, Thursday, December 15th, 1977 at 8:00pm in association with NYU program board. Jack served as producer and master of ceremonies for the series of concerts. Artists for the concert include Al Cohn, Zoot Sims, Pepper Adams, Joe Wilder, Barry Harris, Jimmy Raney, Milt Hinton, and Mousey Alexander. Special guests: Marky Markowitz, Leroy Williams, Flo Cohn and Elliot Lawrence.

This is a structuralist reading of the theatrical works of Henry de Monther­lant. The genera I approach incorporates the theories of Claude Levi-Strauss, Ro land Barth es, Jean Piaget, Jean Rousset, and Leo Spitzer. Two major types of structure are examined: the interrelationship of characters and the interrelationship of ideas. Two theoretical mode Is are constructed. The first is a triadic mode I of the relationships among characters in tightly-knit communities, based upon the sociological theories of Georg Simmel and Theodore Cap low. The Function Of Biblical Sources In The Structure And Meaning Of Blake's Milton, Donna Standfier Rix

This study takes seriously the claim made by William Blake in his epic poem Milton that the model for his art was the Bible, especially the works of those "more ancient & consciously & professedly inspired Men," the Hebrew prophets. Through an examination of circumstances surrounding the composition of Blake's "first Vision of Light," and through analysis of the poem itself, it is shown not only that Blake was acquainted with certain conventional patterns and formulae from the biblical prophetic tradition, but also that he drew upon his knowledge of such strategies in this short poem enclosed in a letter …
