Black, former Chairman of the Montgomery County Medical Society and former faculty member of the Community Medicine Department of the Wright State University School of Medicine, discusses his early background and experiences as a physician in the Miami Valley area. He describes his wartime activities and his involvement in the Montgomery County Medical Society.
Dr. Black then discusses briefly the initial reaction of the Medical Society to the invitation of study of the feasibility of establishment of a School of Medicine in Dayton.
