Although born and raised in Kentucky, she spent most of her adult life in Battle Creek, Michigan. Her poetry and prose was published in several solo books and anthologies and appeared extensively in religious publications of the mid-twentieth century. Finding aid and scan (Click on "Additional Files" below) for Manuscripts Small Collection 2709. “Conscience Money,” by Sarah “Sadie” Price, a story about the recovery of money belonging to the narrator’s father, a Union sympathizer, and hidden while he was a refugee from Kentucky during the Civil War. Price adds a postscript to an editor, calling it an “o’er true tale” that may be more appropriate for a psychological journal. Copied from unpublished notes in Sadie F. Price’s scrapbook at the Missouri Botanical Gardens, St. Louis, Missouri.
