A Proven Method Of Establishing Exposure Indexes For Video Cameras, Harry Mathias

This article discusses a production-tested method for determining exposure indexes for video cameras. Also discussed are exposure control methods, camera sensitivity, waveform monitors, lighting, and other factors. The importance of this procedure in practical production situations is described.

The Gospel And Feminism: A Proposal For Lutheran Dogmatics, Lois E. Malcolm

The aim of this essay is to identify the theological, and deeply Christian, point of resonance between Lutheran and feminist theologies. It begins with a brief overview of themes in Christian feminist theologies; it then offers rationale and recommendations for why and how Lutheran dogmatics should critically engage feminist perspectives so that it can better serve the task of assisting Christians in their proclamation of the promise in Jesus’ gospel.

In December 1861, several Norwegian families, led by Andrew Olsen and Tarel Johnson, organized the first Norwegian-American Adventist church in Oakland Township, Jefferson County, Wisconsin. Oakland Township is part of the Koshkonong Norwegian-American Settlement, which includes southeastern Dane County, southwestern Jefferson County, and northern Rock County, Wisconsin.

The Olsen, Johnson, Loe, and Serns families were from a rural district in Vest-Agder County, Norway. On March 20, 1850, Andrew Olsen, his half-brother, Halvor Olsen, Ole Hegland Serns, and their families left for the U. S. from Kristiansand, Norway.

Professor Wilson is right, “Christological reflection is crossing a threshold...entering an unfamiliar room.” My response focuses his point by posing a question and proposing an answer. Is this new room a labor room or a morgue? Will christological reflection in this room labor and give birth to a new and vibrant orthodoxy and orthopraxis? Or will it die shy and embarrassed for lack of moral and spiritual fortitude, or intellectual and practical wisdom? The answer to the question of morgue or labor room lies in marking the powers and limits of christology and pluralism.

The people of Habi'ina village live on the northern slopes of Mount Piora in the Dogara Census Division of the Kainantu District, Eastern Highlands Province. Like other Papua New Guineans, they possess a rich oral literature and tell each other stories for a wide variety of reasons. All stories are called huri, but several different types can be distinguished.
