Played slowly, the four bars from m. 6 to m. 9 in the left hand of the first number, are the theme of the lullaby I composed at Susie's suggestion, soon after our first daughter was born. Years later, I built the present pieces on this idea and this piano set is dedicated to our daughters Natalie and Brigitte.
