Andres Bello, El Poema De Mio Cid Y Las Ruinas Originales Del Hispanismo, Alvaro Kaempfer

This reading of Andres Bello's edition of the POEMA DE MIO CID, focuses on the corrupted state of a manuscript conceived as a foundational masterpiece in a Hispanic philological tradition. To organize his reading, Bello embraced the task of restoring the text and guide its eventual readers, locating the poem as the beginning of a cultural journey for an extraordinary variety of participants, from different places and times, in the shape and development of a literary text.
