A Survey Of The Confirmation Instruction Of The Children Within A Pastoral Conference, Robert T. Koehler
Bachelor of Divinity
Confirmation .instruction of children is the foundation of the work of the pastor. During his period of contact with the catechumens he can strengthen the personal Christianity of the children. He has the children in the time of their lives when their minds are eager and susceptible. A good catechist through his instruction lays a solid foundation for a congregation of staunch believers in future years. Good confirmation instruction makes the preaching more efficient, makes the work with troubled souls easier, and increases the spirit of love between pastor and catechumens. A bad catechist will usually produce contrary results. The …

The Training And Education Of Saul Of Tarsus, Arlo Krueger
The Training And Education Of Saul Of Tarsus, Arlo Krueger
Bachelor of Divinity
In undertaking a study of this nature there are two possible avenues of approach. The one is the rationalistic approach, and the other we might call, for want of a better name, the reverent approach. Both of these methods of approach have their advocates and adherents among students of St. Paul's life. And it is right at this point where the majority of divergences have their origin. The one approaches the subject from a rationalistic, the other from a reverent standpoint; and consequently both arrive at widely divergent conclusions. Therefore it is of primary significance that, before entering upon our …
History Of Education In Rush County, Paul Carmack
History Of Education In Rush County, Paul Carmack
Graduate Thesis Collection
In this dissertation the author has attempted to assemble all the bits of information extant in the county. Much of it comes from primary sources and secondary accounts. To this has been added a smaller amount of information gathered by personal interview with reliable individuals; principally teachers, who have been in the teaching service for many years and who were connected with the events described. While no history can be called complete, the information here assembled can be the basis for those who wish to continue a history of the county schools, in years to come. The interest in Rush …

University of the Pacific Theses and Dissertations
Public relations programs have been generally characterized as having as their purpose the indoctrination of the public along lines favorable to a commodity, a service, or an idea. In education, there seems to be a growing realization that the function of a public relational program in the school system is the utilization of all of the agencies of a community toward the end of accomplishing the objectives of the public schools. This realization has been further stimulated as educators have recognized that isolation from the community is often detrimental to the aims of the schools. In broadening the scope of …
