The FAC or Forward Air Controller had a unique role in interdicting supplies coming from the Hanoi-Haiphong area thru Laos into South Vietnam. In 1969/70, young USAF Capt. Ron Carr flew the OV-10 as a FAC on more than 200 combat missions. Learn first hand what it was like to do this; why the North Vietnamese chose to route the supplies thru Laos and why the operation was so secret.

Despite the dozens of historically significant wrecks in the lake, only nine are open for diving as part of the Lake Champlain Underwater Historic Preserve. For visitors to the area, five of the wrecks are easily accessible from Burlington, with four being in the immediate vicinity of Burlington Bay. This article will focus on these five wrecks.

Despite his great influence on modern Salafism and Islamic studies, relatively few works focus on the life of Muḥammad Nāṣir al-Dīn al-Albānī (d. 1999), a scholar whose life and brand of Salafism are marked by controversy and stand in stark contrast to madhhab Traditionalism. This article provides a translation of one of his autobiographical interviews. I shed light on the biographical details of Albānī’s formative years, namely his sour relationship with his father, quarrels with the Albanian community in Syria, and his controversial professorship at the University of Medina.
