This much awaited first in a most ambitious three-volume catalog of the architectural drawings of the Florentine-Roman architect, Antonio da Sangallo the Younger (1484-1546), comes at a bittersweet moment. After more than eighteen years of promoting high quality publications in the history of architecture, The Architectural History Foundation, under its able director Victoria Newhouse, closed its doors this year, having advanced its scholarly mission.
