Pamphlet produced by members of the Missouri Presbyterian church who were troubled by an order from the Provost-Marshall General, W.S. Rosencrans.

The order required members of a church meeting to sign a loyalty oath to the U.S. government before they would be allowed to participate. The pamphlet focuses on two members, who had been loyal to the Union during the Civil War, but were offended that civil law was being mixed with church functions.
