The presence of acclaimed artists—who have lived and worked in major cultural centers across the country—enhances the educational opportunities for both undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in the University of Tennessee School of Art. Color Refined is comprised of paintings, drawings, collages, and sculpture by five women artists who immigrated to the United States from five different countries. Although their ages span three generations, these New York based artists share a love of color and abstraction.
