MESSIAH IS THE MOST IMPORTANT SUBJECT OF THE OLD TESTAMENT. THE PROMISES OF THE MESSIAH'S ANCESTORS WERE VERY MANY AND, IN THE SAME TIME, VERY PROFOUND. ABRAHAM IS THE FIRST MAN WHEREOF GOD PROMISED TO BLESS THROUGH HIS SEED. This article wants to approach not only the prophecy from the Old Testament’s inside in general, but also the messianic prophecy in particularly. To reach this purpose, the article starts describing work as a minister in the Old Testament during the time of the Hebraic peregrine, one of Israel dynasty and then one of the prophets. From the New Testamental’s point of view, there are some differences between the time of the water baptism and the time of receiving the Holy Spirit. Even if chronologically the two acts can be very close, we can always make a clear temporal distinction between them. Using the most relevant passages from Acts, this article intends to prove that in all cases the baptism with the Holy Spirit was a distinct experience from the water baptism. The article also describes tangentially the receiving of the Holy Spirit.
