This paper examines avidly the trends of male power and how it affects negatively the disadvantaged, who are mostly females. It uses the case of Tamar in the Old Testament to make its argument in relevance to people who live in the 2 I" century. The essay employs feminist methods of Biblical interpretation. This is the best assumed approach since it is a woman [Tamar] who was grossly abused sexually by a man [Amnon] to meet political ends.
