This thesis deals with the application of simple oxyacetylene welding techniques to the secondary art curriculum. Welded sculptural forms in sheet steel have been the focus of my own work during the past three years and these experiences formed the basis or background of the presentation of these skills to secondary students. An instructional unit was designed to fulfill three primary objectives.
