Architectural education has evolved through the years to conform within the contemporary styles of the eras. Classical styles are typically labeled as outdated. This causes traditional design and architectural history courses to be sidelined into the lecture-based methods rather than the typical studio setting. Studio courses are the prime section of education within architectural universities, and the studio environment fosters the development of contemporary designs, materials, and methods. This thesis project brings traditional, proportionate design back into the studio and hands-on instruction.
