Analysis of the hotel buildings reveals greater than 50% of rooms have inadequate day lighting. Design for prisons, jails, and juvenile corrections are more focused on cost and security, than humanity and hospitality related principles. Access to natural light is a luxury, windows are expensive, and the standardized colors used on their walls are far too depressing.
