Hungary, along with the other member states of the EU, is making efforts to diminish the social and economic gap between the different regions of the country. EU cohesion funds are designed to serve this goal. However, the utilization of these resources is not efficient enough. The problem is exacerbated by how the disadvantaged regions are supported. Intuitively designers know that teamwork is necessary to produce a cohesive project. Collaborative team work, or team work across disciplines, is a fundamental basis for firms such as Arups and Buro Happold among others and these firms are known for producing innovative work as a result of their collaborative efforts. Adult learning and sharing environments, specifically high school, college, and workplace facilities, maintain a similar purpose in terms of meeting the needs of the institution and its users.
