The increasing influx of Latin Americans into the Southwest United States as a result of social, political and economic upheaval in their homelands is a growing concern for the state of Texas. A new immigration station is proposed for the Texas - Mexico border which would be essential to the journey of the international migrant. Serving simultaneously both as an administrative and educational facility, this place of entry into the United States would serve to enhance the immigrant's arrival and adaptation to their new world.
