The Spatial Pattern Of Upper Income Class Residential Location In Rio De Janerio, Brazil, Regina Bienenstein Zoninsein

Architecture Master Theses

This study is about the residential location of the upper-income class in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It focuses on the spatial pattern of this location and its relationship with the characteristics of the natural environment and the availability of public services and facilities.

The Dynamics Of Micro-Location: The Potentials Of Airspace In Urban Design, Ira A. Chilton

Architecture Master Theses

This thesis is an investigation into the analeptic potentials of airspace utilization in urban areas. The study emphasizes airspace utilization as a dynamic locational catalyst for urban revitalization, and has two fundamental purposes. The first is to attempt to clarify the relevance of using airspace as a tool for pursuing efficient and effective use of the limited and valuable supply of central city land. And the second is to pursue a catalytic process for obtaining socioeconomic goals through the multiple use of transportation rights-of-way. In the final phase, these concepts will be briefly elaborated in a case study applied to …
