There are many strange vernacular structures in China, China is a country with a vast territory, many ethnic groups and a long history。As a result, the number of styles and patterns of Chinese vernacular architecture is also very unusual in the history of world architecture. The appearance presented by these vernacular buildings is the result of the constant adaptation of the ancient Chinese to their natural environment through generations of improvement. They represent the wisdom of the ancient Chinese people. Among the factors that probably had the greatest influence on these buildings were climate and topography.

A review is made of work on scale modeling in fire and presented from the experience of the author. Primarily, scale modeling in air is discussed but there is a brief discussion of a scale model with salt and fresh water for smoke movement. A complete set of dimensionless groups is presented for fire, then it is illustrated how selections were made for the partial scaling of specific fire scenarios. The artist's process in which she examines the built environment through the medium of black and white photography. By tracing the trajectory of her awareness of architecture from her early career as a dancer, to the making of photographic images, the artist illuminates the process of deconstructing architectural and pictorial space into fragmented yet illusionistically convincing photographic montages.
