We all realize that something must be done to reduce the pathetic situation which could, if left unchecked, be the downfall of many of our larger cities. The problem then is where to begin. Certainly funds must be allocated in areas where potential improvement is the greatest. I believe this area is the youth of the country. This group composes the potential leaders of tomorrow. If they go bad, where will the situation end? The answer is, it won't.

A Large Hub Airport For The Denver Metropolitan Area, Carl Gene Dyer

With the tremendous technological advances we have experienced in recent years, and shall continue to experience, one will find the working individual's week shortened to thirty, even twenty, hours. Machines will be responsible for a vast amount of labor currently conducted by men. Accompanying this decrease in working hours will be a high correlation of leisure time, much of which will be spent in recreation. The new core will hold and disseminate information even as the traditional library center did in the past. It can be imagined that such a core would contain facilities so students will hear and see poetry presented by the authors, open-heart surgery, drama performances, governmental debates, scientific experiments, etc. In short, with closed circuit TV, tapes, information recall systems, multi-media presentation systems, etc., it is possible to extend and expand many times over the immediate availability of information and material.

Such a center will not replace the traditional library but will supplement it.

This thesis concerns itself with design development for an Albuquerque Metropolitan Law Enforcement Agency. Very little up-to-date written material was found pertaining to law enforcement facility design so the information displayed on succeeding pages is derived primarily from interviews with Police Department personnel. Rather than being any type of case study I would say the design proposal is very unique to Albuquerque because of this factor and this has proven to be entirely adequate and desirable. The statistical and descriptive data has been delineated in outline form to aid in cross referencing and comprehending the largest number of operational systems …
