Osteoporosis is a silent skeletal disease that is often recognized when fractures occur as a result of minimal trauma. Limited studies have assessed the degree of pharmacists’ involvement in osteoporosis prevention, risk-assessment/screening and physician referrals. To assess the Lebanese community pharmacists’ knowledge, practice and barriers regarding osteoporosis prevention. Secondary aim is to assess the pharmacists’ ability to identify high-risk patients who should be referred for bone mineral density (BMD) testing. The present research sought to explore the differences between developed and underdeveloped countries on the Love of Life Scale (LLS). Nine samples (N =3,799) took part in the study. They were university students from Egypt, Lebanon, Kuwait, Qatar, Algeria, Malaysia, India, Iran, and USA. Sex-related differences in LLS were significant only in Kuwait (in favor of males) and India (in favor of females). The samples of Malaysia and U.S.A. obtained the highest mean LLS score, followed by participants from Qatar, India, and Kuwait, (males), and India, Iran, Qatar, and Algeria (females), respectively. The prevalence and the precipitated factors of dietary supplements use among sportsmen is poorly investigated in Lebanon. This study aim to assess the prevalence of dietary supplements use among sportsmen in Lebanon and affecting factors. This is a crosssectional study where participants were selected n by convenient sampling. 23.24% of participants reported using dietary supplements with the highest supplements used being proteins and amino acids. In 2012, 14.1 million patients were diagnosed with cancer worldwide of which 385,700 estimated new cases of non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL). Also, 81,080 new cases of lymphoma were reported in the United States (US) among both genders in 2016. In Lebanon, Lymphoma represents the fifth most frequent cancer, nonetheless, little is known regarding its epidemiological attributes.
