Scientifically it is proven that anthropogenic greenhouse gases (GHG) cause global warming. Global community, through agreements and protocols, aims that by the end of this century to keep the temperature rise below 2°C the average temperature of pre-industrial levels. Efforts are made to limit this rise to 1.5°C. In order to scale down the CO2 emissions countries collaborate under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) to cope with climate impacts caused by anthropogenic GHG.
