An Enhanced Lane Detection Technique Based On Active Learning, Ahmed M. Radwan, Amira Y. Haikal, Hisham E. Gad, Mohamed M. Abdelsalam
Mansoura Engineering Journal
The lane detecting algorithm plays a major role in advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving systems. In recent years, deep learning-based lane detection techniques have shown encouraging results; nonetheless, the quality and size of the training data set has a significant impact on how effective these techniques are. Active learning is a technique that can improve the capacity of deep learning-based lane identification systems to repeatedly choose and classify valuable samples from a large body of unlabeled data. In this research, a novel 1-dimensional deep learning approach is used to present an augmented Active Learning based Lane Detection …

Researchers have studied the potential of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for real-time visual data acquisition and processing using potent deep learning (DL) algorithms over the past few decades. In this regard, drone use in smart cities has become one of the most common uses for them in recent years. UAVs and the Internet of Things (IoTs) are two popular technologies being used in smart agriculture that are ushering in a new era of agriculture by replacing traditional farming methods. The combination of drones and IoT has the potential to drastically change our lives through real-time data collection and analysis that …

A biometric system based on the characteristics of adults recently achieved an outstanding result. Over the last few decades, many applications have been developed for adults, such as fingerprint, face, iris, and hand-vein. Infant identification suffers from many problems and does not enroll all possible ages. Identifying children using one or any biometric features is the first step in ensuring that they are recognized before the law and that their rights are guaranteed. From another perspective, this prevents baby swaps in hospitals, Identifying Missing Children, and Civil ID Programs. This paper introduces an approach for Multimodal Biometric Recognition for Toddlers …
