Student paper titled “The Lucas Homestead: A Study ofTraditional Farm Structures” in which Martha Spinks investigatesthe origins and functions of a Sand Hill farm owned by HerschelLucas in Warren County, Kentucky. The log house, which was built by Stewart in 1850, was originally part of a 400-acre farmstead.
