The purpose of this master’s project thesis is to explore and implement the necessary professional museum practices to care for and preserve the private Vietnam War-era slide collection of Kenneth L. Swain Jr., an Air Force veteran. Through museum practices presented by leading museum professionals, the slide collection was examined and a plan implemented for slide care and maintenance. In conjunction with the preservation of this slide collection, an exhibition was curated in honor of Swain’s unique photo-documentary slide collection.

Sustainable development efforts frequently focus on understanding and promoting the factors that influence health and wellbeing. Urban environments have received attention in recent years as spaces which can increase psychological distress. Despite hypothesized reports of urban environments being less conducive to good mental health then natural environments, few studies have investigated the effects of urban form characteristics (size, density, nuisances, transportation, and housing characteristics) and mental health measures at the city level. The overall concept for this outdoor concrete shell structure, located in Furstliche Park in Inzigkofen, Germany, is derived from an abstracted ginkgo leaf. Drawing on inspiration from a poem about the two parts of the ginkgo leaf becoming one, we took the approach of combining both the natural and built environment into one cohesive piece. To connect the two, it was imperative that we place the shell on the site as to have the smallest impact. Learning environment research has typically focused on factors other than the physical environment (e.g., student/teacher relationships, organizational structure). This study investigated the relationship between the physical classroom environment and entry-level undergraduate statistics students’ (N = 844) academic beliefs and performance. Students were taught in either a technology-enhanced active learning classroom or a traditional lecture hall. This study investigated how undergraduate students in an entry level statistics course a) perceived the importance of the physical learning environment, b) conveyed expectations for and experiences of active engagement within that environment, and c) self-reported their personal capability judgments. จากยุทธศาสตร์การพัฒนาประเทศไทยให้เป็นศูนย์กลางสุขภาพนานาชาติ ส่งผลให้มีการปรับปรุงและพัฒนาโรงพยาบาลในประเทศไทยให้มีความทันสมัยได้มาตรฐานในระดับสากล เช่นเดียวกันกับโรงพยาบาลจุฬาลงกรณ์ สภากาชาดไทย หนึ่งในโรงพยาบาลชั้นนำของประเทศที่ได้สร้างอาคารภูมิสิริมังคลานุสรณ์ขึ้นเพื่อตอบสนองการให้บริการ โดยอาคารดังกล่าวมีการย้ายเข้าของหอผู้ป่วย และห้องผ่าตัดจากนอกอาคารเข้าสู่ภายในอาคาร นอกจากนี้ยังมีการปรับปรุงอาคารระหว่างการใช้งานส่งผลให้มีการโยกย้ายหอผู้ป่วย และห้องผ่าตัดไปสู่พื้นที่ชั่วคราวขณะทำการปรับปรุง จึงได้ทำการศึกษาขั้นตอน และปัญหาในการย้ายหอผู้ป่วย และห้องผ่าตัดทั้ง 4 กลุ่ม ได้แก่ กลุ่มกรณีย้ายหอผู้ป่วยภายในอาคาร กลุ่มกรณีย้ายหอผู้ป่วยจากภายนอกอาคาร กรณีย้ายห้องผ่าตัดภายในอาคาร กรณีย้ายห้องผ่าตัดจากภายนอกอาคาร โดยการสังเกต บันทึกข้อมูลในเหตุการณ์ และสอบถามผู้เกี่ยวข้องกับการย้ายหอผู้ป่วย จากนั้นนำข้อมูลมาวิเคราะห์ สรุปและอภิปรายผล จากการศึกษาพบว่า เมื่อวิเคราะห์ตามกิจกรรมที่ปฏิบัติสามารถแบ่งขั้นตอนการย้ายหอผู้ป่วยได้เป็น 5 ขั้นตอน ได้แก่ ขั้นตอนการวางแผน ขั้นตอนการย้ายของ ขั้นตอนการเตรียมผู้ป่วย ขั้นตอนการย้ายผู้ป่วย และขั้นตอนการตรวจสอบและส่งคืนพื้นที่ ในขณะที่การย้ายห้องผ่าตัดมี 3 ขั้นตอน ได้แก่ ขั้นตอนการวางแผน ขั้นตอนการย้ายของ และขั้นตอนการตรวจสอบและส่งคืนพื้นที่ แต่การย้ายห้องคลอด และห้องผ่าตัดคลอดมีการปฏิบัติ 5 ขั้นตอนเช่นเดียวกับการย้ายหอผู้ป่วย ทั้งนี้แต่ละกิจกรรมในขั้นตอนจะมีทั้งกิจกรรมที่ปฏิบัติเช่นเดียวกัน และกิจกรรมที่ปฏิบัติต่างกัน รวมถึงการเตรียมเครื่องมือในการย้ายของ และย้ายผู้ป่วยก็มีความแตกต่างกัน ขึ้นอยู่กับปัจจัยที่ต้องคำนึงถึง นอกจากนี้เมื่อวิเคราะห์จากช่วงเวลาในการปฏิบัติงาน พบว่าช่วงเวลาที่ดีที่สุดในการย้ายหอผู้ป่วยคือ ช่วงเช้า และเมื่อวิเคราะห์จากระยะเวลาการย้ายของ พบว่าห้องคลอดและผ่าตัดคลอดจะใช้เวลามากกว่าหน่วยงานอื่น ๆ ส่วนการย้ายหอผู้ป่วยวิกฤตจากภายนอกอาคารจะใช้เวลามากกว่าการย้ายหอผู้ป่วยอื่น ๆ นอกจากนี้ในการศึกษาปัญหาที่พบในขั้นตอนการย้ายของ และขั้นตอนการย้ายผู้ป่วย พบว่ามีปัญหาทั้งหมด 7 ลักษณะ ได้แก่ การขนย้ายล่าช้า การขนย้ายหยุดชะงัก ของเสียหาย ผู้ใช้อาคารไม่สะดวก ปิดงานไม่ได้ หน่วยงานเปิดให้บริการได้ไม่สมบูรณ์ และเกิดความเสี่ยงต่อผู้ป่วย เป็นผลมาจาก 7 สาเหตุ ได้แก่ การจัดการ การประสานงาน การควบคุมงาน การวางแผน อุบัติเหตุ คุณภาพบุคคลากร ลักษณะทางกายภาพอาคาร และอาการผู้ป่วย จากการศึกษาและวิเคราะห์ผล สรุปได้ว่าการย้ายหอผู้ป่วย และห้องผ่าตัดมีขั้นตอนในการย้ายที่แตกต่างกัน ซึ่งเมื่อมีการย้ายหอผู้ป่วย และห้องผ่าตัด ปัจจัยที่ต้องคำนึงถึงในการวางแผนการย้าย และการเตรียมเครื่องมือ ได้แก่ ประเภทหน่วยงานตามลักษณะการให้บริการลักษณะการย้ายแบ่งตามในอาคารและนอกอาคาร อาการผู้ป่วย พื้นที่ต้นทางเนื่องจากเส้นทางในการย้าย ความพร้อมของพื้นที่ จำนวนบุคคลากร จำนวนรถพยาบาล ความพร้อมของผู้ป่วย จำนวนเครื่องมือแพทย์ที่ใช้ในการย้ายผู้ป่วย จำนวนผู้ป่วยหนัก …

อิทธิพลของสีในสภาพแวดล้อมที่ส่งผลต่อความเครียดของผู้สูงอายุชาวไทย, ธนาวุฒิ ตรงประวีณ

สีในสภาพแวดล้อมเป็นหนึ่งในสิ่งเร้าต่ออารมณ์ความรู้สึกของผู้อยู่อาศัย การวิจัยนี้เป็นการศึกษาอิทธิพลของสีในสภาพแวดล้อม (ห้องนอน) ที่ส่งผลต่อความความเครียดของผู้สูงอายุโดยการจำลองภาพห้องนอนในบ้านพักคนชรา เพื่อศึกษาคุณลักษณะวรรณะของสีและสัดส่วนความสดของสีผนังห้องนอน ในการศึกษาครั้งนี้ได้เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลจากกลุ่มตัวอย่างผู้สูงอายุที่อาศัยในบ้านพักคนชราและอาศัยที่บ้านพักส่วนบุคคลจำนวน 120 คน งานวิจัยนี้ประเมินระดับการตอบสนองทางอารมณ์ของกลุ่มตัวอย่างในประเด็นความพึงพอใจ การตื่นตัว และความเครียด รวมถึงการรับรู้ความสว่าง และประเมินความเครียดโดย 2 วิธีหลัก ได้แก่ The Affect Grid Scale of Pleasure and Arousal ของ Russell, Weiss & Mendelsohn (1989) และ The Semantic Differential Rating Method (SDR) โดยการมองภาพจำลองคอมพิวเตอร์ 17 ภาพ ที่มีความแตกต่างกันทางด้าน วรรณะของสี สี และสัดส่วนความสดของสี จากการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลพบว่า วรรณะของสี เนื้อสี และสัดส่วนความสดของสีผนังห้องนอนส่งผลต่อการตอบสนองอารมณ์ความรู้สึกเครียดของผู้สูงอายุ โดยสีผนังห้องนอนวรรณะเย็นส่งผลให้ผู้สูงอายุมีความรู้สึกเครียดน้อยกว่าสีวรรณะร้อน สัดส่วนความสดของสีอ่อนต่อสีเข้มที่เพิ่มขึ้นแปรผันตามความรู้สึกผ่อนคลาย นอกจากนี้ยังพบว่าความรู้สึกเครียดของผู้สูงอายุแปรผกผันกับความพึงพอใจต่อสีผนังของห้องนอน โดยผู้สูงอายุพึงพอใจสีผนังห้องนอนวรรณะเย็นมากกว่าวรรณะร้อน และสีผนังห้องนอนที่มีความรู้สึกสว่างที่น้อยลงส่งผลให้เกิดความรู้สึกเครียดที่มากขึ้น งานวิจัยนี้จึงสรุปได้ว่าวรรณะสีและสัดส่วนความสดของสีผนังห้องนอนเป็นปัจจัยสำคัญที่ส่งผลต่อความรู้สึกเครียดของผู้สูงอายุ ท้ายที่สุดงานวิจัยนี้เสนอแนะว่าผู้ออกแบบควรเลือกใช้สีที่ส่งเสริมความรู้สึกเชิงบวกของผู้สูงอายุ

ในปัจจุบันมีความเข้าใจอย่างกว้างขวางว่า ในการอนุรักษ์สถาปัตยกรรมจำเป็นต้องเข้าใจสภาพแวดล้อมโดยรอบแหล่งมรดกวัฒนธรรม (setting) มากกว่าการพิจารณาตัวอาคารแต่เพียงอย่างเดียว อีกทั้งโครงสร้างมรดกวัฒนธรรมประกอบจากพื้นที่ที่มีความหลากหลายและมีการเปลี่ยนแปลงอย่างเป็นพลวัต รวมถึงความสัมพันธ์ของสภาพแวดล้อมโดยรอบแหล่งมรดกวัฒนธรรม สิ่งต่าง ๆ เหล่านี้ สามารถเป็นที่มาของการตระหนักถึงคุณค่าของเรื่องราวที่เกิดขึ้นบนสภาพแวดล้อม เพื่อการนำเสนอ (presentation) และการสื่อความหมาย (interpretation) ของพื้นที่แหล่งมรดกวัฒนธรรมได้ โดยวัดแม่พระลูกประคำ (กาลหว่าร์) ถือเป็นกรณีศึกษาที่สำคัญในเรื่องการศึกษาสภาพแวดล้อม เนื่องจากเป็นพื้นที่ที่มีการตั้งถิ่นฐานของผู้คนมายาวนานกว่า 250 ปี ประกอบกับบันทึกและเอกสารต่าง ๆ ที่ค้นพบ ช่วยให้เข้าใจสภาพแวดล้อมโดยรอบของพื้นที่ได้อย่างดี การวิจัยนี้เป็นการศึกษาและวิเคราะห์หลักฐานชั้นต้นต่าง ๆ ของวัดแม่พระลูกประคำ (กาลหว่าร์) อันประกอบด้วย แผนที่เก่า ภาพถ่ายในอดีต เรื่องราวของผู้คนที่มีการบันทึกไว้ และงานวิจัยที่เกี่ยวข้อง ผู้วิจัยนำหลักฐานเหล่านี้มาใช้ในการวิเคราะห์สภาพแวดล้อมโดยรอบวัดแม่พระลูกประคำ (กาลหว่าร์) เพื่อนำเสนอเรื่องราวที่มีคุณค่าของสภาพแวดล้อม และปัจจัยที่ส่งเสริมให้เกิดคุณค่าของสภาพแวดล้อมที่เคยดำรงอยู่ในอดีต มาใช้ในการนำเสนอและการสื่อความหมาย จากการศึกษา ผู้วิจัยค้นพบว่าวัดแม่พระลูกประคำ (กาลหว่าร์) มีเรื่องราวที่มีคุณค่าและควรได้รับการสื่อความหมายที่จะช่วยให้เข้าใจถึงสภาพแวดล้อมวัดแม่พระลูกประคำ (กาลหว่าร์) ตลอดเวลากว่า 250 ปี ได้อย่างดีจำนวน 5 เรื่องอันประกอบด้วย บ้านสำโรง ค่ายแม่พระลูกประคำ Notre Dame du Rosaire บุ่งกุ่ยและกุหลาบ และ กาลหว่าร์และวัดสาขา สภาพแวดล้อมเกิดขึ้นจากองค์ประกอบต่าง ๆ ทั้งที่มองเห็นได้และมองเห็นไม่ได้ ซึ่งมีความสัมพันธ์กันเกิดเป็นสภาพแวดล้อมขึ้นโดยมีอาคารโบสถ์วัดแม่พระลูกประคำ (กาลหว่าร์) เป็นอนุสรณ์สถานที่บอกเล่าเรื่องราวความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างผู้คนที่ดำรงอยู่ในสภาพแวดล้อมได้อย่างสมบูรณ์ และส่วนท้ายงานวิจัย ผู้วิจัยเสนอแนวทางในการนำเสนอและสื่อความหมายสภาพแวดล้อมออกเป็น 2 ด้าน คือ ด้านกายภาพ และด้านสังคม และข้อพิจารณาแนวทางในการสื่อความหมายผ่านแก่นเรือง ซึ่งจะเป็นประโยชน์ต่อการตระหนักถึงคุณค่าของประวัติศาสตร์และสภาพแวดล้อมโดยรอบวัดแม่พระลูกประคำ (กาลหว่าร์) ต่อไปในอนาคต

สัณฐานการเปลี่ยนแปลงชุมชนและอุตสาหกรรมประมงบริเวณริมแม่น้ำท่าจีน พื้นที่ตำบลท่าฉลอม ตำบลมหาชัย และตำบลโกรกกราก จังหวัดสมุทรสาคร, ชลัมพล ธาวนพงษ์

ชุมชนและอุตสาหกรรมประมงริมแม่น้ำท่าจีน ตำบลท่าฉลอม ตำบลมหาชัย และตำบลโกรกกราก จังหวัดสมุทรสาคร ในอดีตเป็นชุมชนประมงริมแม่น้ำที่มีความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างผู้คนและแม่น้ำที่เหนียวแน่นทั้งการอยู่อาศัยและการทำประมง แต่ปัจจุบันความสัมพันธ์เหล่านี้ถดถอยลงเนื่องจากถูกแทรกแซงจากปัจจัยต่างๆ ทำให้พื้นที่ริมน้ำถูกทิ้งร้าง จึงเป็นที่มาของการศึกษาครั้งนี้ โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) ศึกษาการเปลี่ยนแปลงสัณฐานชุมชนและพื้นที่ริมน้ำ 2) ศึกษาพัฒนาการของการทำประมงริมแม่น้ำท่าจีน 3) ศึกษาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างพัฒนาการของการทำประมงและการเปลี่ยนแปลงสัณฐานชุมชนและพื้นที่ริมแม่น้ำท่าจีน ตำบลมหาชัย ตำบลท่าฉลอม และตำบลโกรกกราก จังหวัดสมุทรสาครโดยทำการศึกษาจากการรวบรวมข้อมูลเอกสารเกี่ยวกับความเป็นมาของพื้นที่และการสำรวจการประกอบอาชีพ เพื่อพิจารณาการเปลี่ยนแปลงสัณฐานชุมชน คัดเลือกพื้นที่เพื่อทำรูปตัดแสดงการเปลี่ยนแปลงการใช้งานพื้นที่ริมน้ำโดยเก็บข้อมูลจากการรังวัดและสัมภาษณ์เจ้าของพื้นที่ นำข้อมูลที่ได้มาพิจารณาร่วมกับข้อมูลการพัฒนาการทำประมงริมแม่น้ำท่าจีน เพื่อวิเคราะห์ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างพัฒนาการของการทำประมงริมแม่น้ำท่าจีนและสัณฐานการเปลี่ยนแปลงชุมชนและพื้นที่ริมน้ำ ตำบลท่าฉลอม ตำบลมหาชัย และตำบลโกรกกราก จังหวัดสมุทรสาคร ผลการศึกษาแบ่งออกเป็น 4 ช่วงเวลาได้แก่ 1) ยุคสังคมพื้นบ้าน ก่อนปีพ.ศ. 2504 2) ยุคพัฒนาอุตสาหกรรม ปีพ.ศ. 2504 - พ.ศ. 2525 3) ยุคอุตสาหกรรมประมงซบเซา ปีพ.ศ. 2525 - พ.ศ. 2558 4) ยุคจัดระเบียบการทำประมง ปีพ.ศ. 2558 - ปัจจุบัน โดยการพัฒนาการทำประมงตั้งแต่อดีตจนถึงปัจจุบันได้ส่งผลถึงการตั้งถิ่นฐาน วิถีชีวิตริมน้ำ และลักษณะทางกายภาพของพื้นที่ริมน้ำดังนี้ 1) การทำประมง เปลี่ยนจากการทำประมงพื้นบ้านมาสู่การทำอุตสาหกรรมประมงและเกิดอุตสาหกรรมต่างๆ ที่เกี่ยวเนื่องกับการทำประมง ต่อมาการทำประมงประสบภาวะซบเซาเนื่องจากการประกาศข้อตกลงทางทะเลจนถูกจำกัดการทำประมงในปัจจุบัน ซึ่งเป็นผลจากการจัดระเบียบการทำประมง 2) การตั้งถิ่นฐาน มีการตั้งถิ่นฐานอย่างหนาแน่นบริเวณพื้นที่ริมน้ำตำบลท่าฉลอมและขยายตัวมายังฝั่งตำบลมหาชัยและตำบลโกรกกราก จนภายหลังมีการกระจายตัวออกไปจากพื้นที่ตามแนวเครือข่ายถนน และในปัจจุบันอุตสาหกรรมต่างๆ ที่ตั้งอยู่บริเวณพื้นที่ริมน้ำต้องเลิกกิจการเพราะการหยุดชะงักของการทำประมง 3) วิถีชีวิตริมน้ำ มีการเปลี่ยนแปลงจากอดีตที่เคยมีความสัมพันธ์ของผู้คนและแม่น้ำในการทำประมง การเดินทาง และการขนส่ง ต่อมาพื้นที่ริมน้ำมีความสำคัญต่อการขนส่งสินค้ามากขึ้นในช่วงที่มีการพัฒนาอุตสาหกรรม จนในช่วงที่การทำประมงซบเซาทำให้บทบาทของแม่น้ำทั้งในแง่การเดินทางและขนส่งสินค้ามีความสำคัญลดลง จนกระทั่งหมดไปในปัจจุบันเนื่องจากมีการพัฒนาถนนและเกิดปัญหาในการทำประมง 4) ลักษณะทางกายภาพของพื้นที่ริมน้ำ มีการเปลี่ยนแปลงจากในอดีตซึ่งใช้สะพานไม้ขนาดเล็กในการขนส่งสินค้าและซ่อมแซมเครื่องมือประมง มีการทำประมงตามพื้นที่ริมตลิ่ง และพัฒนาเป็นท่าเทียบเรือที่มีประสิทธิภาพในการขนถ่ายสินค้ามากขึ้น จนในช่วงที่การทำประมงซบเซาทำให้พื้นที่ริมน้ำมีการใช้งานลดลง มีการสร้างเขื่อนป้องกันตลิ่งที่ทำให้การใช้งานพื้นที่ริมน้ำทำได้ยากลำบาก จนการทำประมงถูกจำกัดส่งผลให้พื้นที่ดังกล่าวถูกทิ้งร้างในที่สุด ในปัจจุบันจึงมีการพัฒนาการท่องเที่ยวเพื่อรื้อฟื้นความสำคัญของพื้นที่ริมน้ำ โดยใช้พื้นที่ริมน้ำสาธารณะในการจัดงานเทศกาลและประเพณีเพื่อดึงดูดนักท่องเที่ยว
