The purpose of this research is to investigate the impact of hybrid micro and macro polypropylene fibers (PPFs) on the mechanical characteristics and microstructure of high performance concrete (HPC). Seven concrete mixes with different contents of hybrid polypropylene fibers were tested. The tests included the slump test, compressive and flexural strength, resistance to elevated temperatures, and concrete microstructure. Compared to the control mixture, introducing macro and micro polypropylene hybrid fibers to HPC mixes dramatically enhanced the flexural and compressive strength of concrete while lowering workability. Circular concrete-filled steel tubular (CCFST) columns are widely utilized in structural engineering due to their impressive load-bearing capabilities and ductility. Existing design standards often yield disparate outcomes when applied to structural columns with identical properties, introducing uncertainty for engineering designers. This study introduces an innovative technique to address these challenges using two machine learning (ML) models: Gaussian process regression (GPR) and extreme gradient boosting (XGBoost). Six cold-formed steel columns with lipped channel and different types of web stiffener configurations were experimentally investigated under axial compression forces up to failure. Hydrogen recovery unit is important to remove H2S from the off gases generated from various units in refinery and recovers hydrogen. The recovered hydrogen reduces the quantity of hydrogen needed to be produced from hydrogen production unit required for hydro-treating processes in the refinery. The off gas generated from this unit is used as fuel gas. This is achieved at reasonable cost and with maximum protection to people, equipment, materials, and the environment. Proper operation will ensure that these goals are met. The required purity is (>99.9 mol%).

One of the main reasons for bridge failure is local scour at the bridge abutments. Laboratory experiments, under clear water scour condition, were carried out to investigate scour reduction around the vertical bridge abutment by adding one upstream spur dike. Sand with a median and standard deviation of diameter equal to 0.80 mm and 2.173 mm respectively, formed the bed material. The influence of composite girders on the modified buckling factor for columns was investigated in both braced and unbraced frames. The composite girders' end conditions were represented as rigid and hinged . Furthermore, based on the proposed stiffness parameter, the derived formulation follows the same assumptions as the standard effective length factor (K-factor). This study uses the window-method for merging the gravity field wavelengths inside the remove-restore technique (RRT) to get the gravimetric geoid for Egypt using Helmert's models of condensation. This experimental study investigates the possibility of using a combination of solid activators to produce dry powder geopolymer cement. Fly ash (FA) and/or ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBS) were employed as precursors. This study proposes a modified gap acceptance method to estimate control delay at unsignalized intersections in Egypt. The Highway Capacity Manual (HCM) method for estimating control delay at unsignalized intersections assumes that all lower-ranking movements yield completely to higher-ranking movements. However, this assumption may not be valid in Egypt, where drivers in lower-ranking movements sometimes violate right-of-way. The proposed method introduces an adjustment factor to account for the amount of real priority that higher-ranking movements actually get from lower-ranking movements. This paper presents the effect on the shear behavior of reinforced concrete shallow beams due to infilling by using the Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) as a lightweight material to decrease the weight of the beams. An accurate bathymetric survey is a principal issue in dredging projects because it has a direct impact on the estimated dredging quantities, project process and cost. In this research, various factors affecting the accuracy of bathymetric survey and hence dredging volume quantities have been investigated. The data obtained from single-beam echo sounder surveys after the deepening and widening of Great Bitter Lakes in the New Suez Canal project, which was recently carried out in Egypt, have been used.
