Electron Beam Induced Conductivity Effect Of Polymer Resists And Charging Induced Electron Beam Deflection Simulation In Electron Beam Lithography, Justin Jia-Jen Hwu
Electron Beam Induced Conductivity Effect Of Polymer Resists And Charging Induced Electron Beam Deflection Simulation In Electron Beam Lithography, Justin Jia-Jen Hwu
Doctoral Dissertations
The electron beam induced conductivity (EBIC) effect of polymer materials was investigated and three electron beam resists, PBS, EBR900, and ZEP7000, were used as target materials in this research. An external bias method was applied for the direct measurements of EBIC current and the EBIC conductivity was then derived. The change of carrier drift velocity and the carrier concentration under field is believed to be the reason for the conductivity increase and the approach of the asymptotic values in the initial state EBIC characteristics. The temperature effect on EBIC was illustrated by EBR900 and a simple single trap level analysis …

Transformations
Scholars' Day was established in 1997 and is a day-long conference devoted to showcasing the wide array of scholarship, research and creative activities occurring on campus. In 2012, a new emphasis on student research lead to a name change to Transformations: A Student Research and Creativity Conference. This event focuses on student research, which is defined as an original investigation or creative activity through the primary efforts of a student or group of students. The work should show problem-solving skills and demonstrate new conceptual outcomes.

A large number of oxygenated organic chemicals (peroxyacyl nitrates, alkyl nitrates, acetone, formaldehyde, methanol, methylhydroperoxide, acetic acid and formic acid) were measured during the 1997 Subsonic Assessment (SASS) Ozone and Nitrogen Oxide Experiment (SONEX) airborne field campaign over the Atlantic. In this paper, we present a first picture of the distribution of these oxygenated organic chemicals (Ox‐organic) in the troposphere and the lower stratosphere, and assess their source and sink relationships. In both the troposphere and the lower stratosphere, the total atmospheric abundance of these oxygenated species (ΣOx‐organic) nearly equals that of total nonmethane hydrocarbons (ΣNMHC), which have been traditionally …

Low‐ozone (ppbv) air masses were observed in the upper troposphere in northern midlatitudes over the eastern United States and the North Atlantic Ocean on several occasions in October 1997 during the NASA Subsonic Assessment, Ozone and Nitrogen Oxide Experiment (SONEX) mission. Three cases of low‐ozone air masses were shown to have originated in the tropical Pacific marine boundary layer or lower troposphere and advected poleward along a warm conveyor belt during a synoptic‐scale disturbance. The tropopause was elevated in the region with the low‐ozone air mass. Stratospheric intrusions accompanied the disturbances. On the basis of storm track and stratospheric intrusion …
The Effects Of Hydrology And Nutrient Inputs At South Milton Ley On The Ecology Of The Common Reed Phragmites Australis (Cav. Trin. Ex Steudal), Paula Angele Powell
The Effects Of Hydrology And Nutrient Inputs At South Milton Ley On The Ecology Of The Common Reed Phragmites Australis (Cav. Trin. Ex Steudal), Paula Angele Powell
School of Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences Theses
South Milton Ley is a small coastal wetland in Southern England. A sand-bar forms periodically at its seaward end and separates fresh water from the sea. The common reed Phragmites australis dominates the wetland and when a sand bar is present a shallow freshwater lake forms. Monthly water budgets were prepared for the years 1994, 1995 and 1996 and intermittent flooding of the Ley was also monitored. This information was used to calculate a range of residence times (between one hour and eleven days) and the characteristics of various flow regimes when the sandbar, which dams the Ley, is open …
