Throughout my years at the University of Akron, I have explored my creative writing, focusing on poetry, and developed a distinct style. There have been many influences on my poetry and I utilize several poetry aesthetics, conventions, and styles. My honor project will explore my poetry by referencing a 30-page portfolio of my collected undergraduate works.

In this research project, the research question of “How does the online curriculum and resources on Desmos impact student learning and success in the classroom?” will be addressed. The goal of this project is to analyze different activities on the Desmos website for high school students and see how effective they would be at increasing student learning. The different Desmos sections where these activities can be found are: Exponential Functions, Functions, Inequalities, Linear Functions, Linear Systems, Quadratic Functions, and Modeling. This paper aims to examines the affect of race on compensation for NBA players. Based on prior research, I pose the hypothesis that racial discrimination does exist in the NBA with there being a premium for white players. The focus of this project will be to firmly establish, characterize, and define the range of traits that describe the most common fabric type of the pottery found at Ziyaret Tepe, which was called by the excavators and ceramic experts Plain Simple Ware (code designation LA01). To characterize and describe the range of traits of Plain Simple Ware from Ziyaret Tepe, ceramic analysis, specifically, a method called ceramic petrography was employed in this study of thirty samples of pottery. This project is a continuation into the design and implementation of a Dynamic Mechanical Analysis (DMA) device that will be used to conduct high frequency testing on tire tread compounds. The design requirements necessary were to design a device that will produce a target frequency of 10 kHz with a 0.05% strain, while being at room temperature. The 3-D model developed by the previous year’s students was improved upon and new parts were designed as well. Sketches of a Life is a work for a small chamber ensemble and depicts small sections of an unidentified person's life. It is scored for 13 instruments and runs eight minutes in length. The purpose of this study is to create a foundation for the analysis of early intervention programs for children ages birth to three, with hearing loss. By providing a guide into intervention currently available in the state of Ohio following the public law requirements, parents of children with hearing loss will be better informed and more capable of providing tools to help their children excel.
