The subject of the role of Ismaʿilite dogma in the decline of Islamic doctrines of jurisprudence is of great importance. From a historical and critical perspective, it is necessary to revise all the assumptions relating to this subject. On the one hand, the biographical and historical sources Malikites and achaʿrites concerning the history of Tunisia (Afriqiya) in the Middle Ages insist on the persecution practiced by the Fatimides against the Malikites and their thoughts. On the other side, there are Ismaʿilites and Shiʿites references whose Ismaiʿlites adherents are often presented as being tolerant with other doctrines in Tunisia, which has …

The Moroccan administrative organization until the nineteenth century and the beginning of the twentieth century, before the imposition of the international protection system on it, was a spatial division according to the vastness and density of the population. Most of those supervising its organization were leaders appointed from notables and notables in this field. This situation continued to the extent of imposing the French protectorate on Morocco, which the protection administration will exploit to its advantage by imposing new administrative frameworks belonging to it to establish its colonial control. This is what we will try to focus on in this …

Avicenna had a great influence on Jewish thinkers throughout the Middle Ages. Jewish philosophy drew many of its conceptual constructions from the Avicenna tradition and succeeded in constructing original doctrines by reconciling Jewish tradition, Greek philosophy and its Muslim reception. The article traces the influence of Avicenna's ishraq (Enlightenment) philosophy on medieval Jewish thought. It seeks to clarify the nature of this influence, and to define its paths and repercussions on Jewish scholars and their various philosophical doctrines. This study highlights the extent of this influence through the analysis of philosophical and mystical notions in the work of Abraham Ben …

Moroccan poetics has taken multiple paths that have embodied transformations in its history that have touched the essence of the structure of poetry. The most important transformations are perhaps those that affected the structure of Arabic poetry in Morocco between the Wattasid and Saadian eras. Arabic poetry in Morocco will adhere to the origins of the Arabic poem in its clearest doctrines with the Saadian period, thus realizing the link between Moroccan poetry and oriental poetry in the times of its prosperity, and circumventing what the structure of the Arabic poem in the Morocco in the era of Al-Wattasin reached …

La Conciliation Entre La Foi Et La Raison Dans La Pensée Théologique De Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba Mbacke, Khassim Diakhate

This paper explores the issue of the reconciliation between faith and reason in the theological thought of Sheikh Ahmadou Bamba. It attempts to elucidate the dynamics of this reconciliation by scrutinizing Koranic texts, the prophetic tradition, consensus and reasoning in order to know God and have faith in Him. Particular emphasis is placed on Sheikh Ahmadou Bamba’s interest in the reflection on the universe and its wonders, the contemplation of which is, moreover, a Koranic recommendation. It is on this momentum that Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba built his argument that the Creator of the world is necessarily provided with Attributes of …

Performance Et Rituel Au Maroc: Un Mariage Incestueux, Zineb Amrani

Dirassat

Confined to religion, mythology and the field of the supernatural, the performative dimension of ritual practices was neglected. Looking at ritual through the prism of Performance Studies means shifting the gaze to the context, gesture, play and communication rather than focusing on the cognitive dimension of actors and the textual dimension of Aristotelian theater. It is therefore in order to understand this conceptual effervescence that breaks with the cartesian doctrine, opposing the cognitive and the social, on the one hand, and the cognitive and the action, on the other hand, that we have chosen to devote the present article to …

The researcher of the evolutionary process of critical discourse in Morocco faces the question of its actual beginning as a practice describing creative work. A closer look at the studies which have dealt with the topic shows that these studies differ, whether in determining the date of its real beginning or in the stages it went through. Even at the present moment in which it has managed to surmount the complex of self-assertion and embrace modern theoretical and literary issues. Perhaps the reason for this difference is due to the concept adopted by each researcher of critical discourse itself. This …

This research paper aims to highlight the most important constraints, especially phonetic ones that govern word formation in Arabic. Therefore, if a word is an outcome of the combination of basic sounds and a morphological form, then the Arabic system considers a set of principles, which are combinatory constraints, in the process of word formation. Herein, it worth mentioning that these constraints are part of a general principle called the lightness and heaviness principle; it is a principle that governs the combination of the basic sounds (consonants) at the root level, as it governs the combination of vowels with one …

When we talk about mobility, we are talking about both a change of place, position and a change of state of the actor, hence two dimensions of mobility: one spatial and the other social, we also note that this diversity of meanings depends on the disciplinary position from which the “mobility-change” question is approached, hence the importance of an interdisciplinary and integrating approach to this phenomenon, in order to be able to apprehend these various dimensions. In this article, we will first follow the historical development of research on mobility, then we will analyze the relationship between these two dimensions, …

Fixed expression and idioms are part of the translated discourse. They are ready-made constructions that summarize an idea or a concept by using outstanding formulas. Translate these expressions is a big challenge for the translator. Thus, a well done translation does not mean mastering the linguistic skills of both languages, since the text does not contain just linguistic facts. It is also about culture, emotions, connotations, style and the author’s genius. Formulaic language often presents significant issue in translation just as well as finding a fixed expression as equivalent.
