Cross-Cultural Acceptance Of The Euro: Assessing The Effectiveness Of Public Information Marketing, Steven W. Staninger

The introduction of the euro currency is a major social, cultural, and economic event in the history of Europe. A massive public information marketing campaign has failed to encourage widespread acceptance of the new currency. This paper analyzes the reasons for this failure, and suggests strategies for future campaigns.

The Implementation Of The Least Restrictive Environment Provision Of The Individuals With Disabilities Education Act (Idea) For Secondary Students With Learning Disabilities On Guam, Nieves P. Flores Edd

This study examined the implementation of the least restrictive environment (LRE) provision of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) for secondary students with learning disabilities on Guam. The research questions for the study addressed the following areas: (a) perceptions of the definition of LRE, (b) factors influencing the implementation of LRE, and (c) determination of LRE in relation to the national trends and literature. This research utilized the qualitative method of collecting and analyzing data that included interviews and review of written documents. Factors Related To Resilience Abilities And Self-Care Practices In Adolescents, Sandra L. Solem Phd, Msn, Rn
Dissertations
Identification of resilience factors in adolescents is necessary to promote health and decrease the incidence of negative health outcomes related to risk-behaviors in this age group. The purpose of this descriptive-correlational research was twofold: (1) to investigate the inter-relationships of perceived health status, perceived self-efficacy, resilience abilities, self-care agency and self-care practices in adolescents and (2) to evaluate a revised measure, The Solem Adolescent Resilience Abilities Scale (SARAS-R). Orem's self-care theory was used as the theoretical framework for this study.
