A modified institutional cycle design was used for the evaluation of the impact on productivity and client services of a change from a waiting list to a group intake procedure. Subjects were 837 callers requesting outpatient services including individual, group and family or marital counseling in a decentralized, state-funded community mental health center; Key contrasts comparing cross-sectional and longitudinal differences between two sites, which began group intake at different times, and a third site which continued a waiting list, were observed for three indices of agency productivity and two indices of client service. An Analysis Of Two Strategies For Implementing A Parent Self-Administered Advice Procedure For Training And Maintaining Responsibilities Among Family Members, Michael Paul Mcmanmon

An attempt was made to investigate two strategies for implementing a self-administered parental advice procedure for training and maintaining responsibilities among family members. The population included 14 families from Las Vegas, Nevada who were seeking to solve common child-rearing problems. Families were divided into two groups: Contact approach and No-Contact approach. Contact approach parents received one hour of professional assistance per week. The No-Contact approach parents self-administered the Children's Activity Planner in their homes. No significant pretest differences existed between groups. Research indicates that few self-administered programs exist for in-home resolution of common child-rearing problems. This study developed an evaluation instrument profiling selected components identified in the Getzels-Guba Theoretical Model of a Social System. The instrument targeted public school districts with enrollments of 5000 students or less applying the components of the Model. These components were often not included in the assessment procedures or programs of school districts, but were the phenomena of an informal and highly neglected area of evaluation with respect to school organization.
