This article is devoted to the study and analysis of methods of economic evaluation of the use of innovative technologies in agriculture. In particular, various approaches to assess the level and effectiveness of innovative technologies in the crop sector developed by Russian scientists are considered. As a result of generalization of the studied indicators, the system of evaluation of the results of the use of innovative technologies in crop production, consisting of two interrelated groups: indicators characterizing the result/effect and indicators of the innovation climate, is proposed.

The data on the seed planting texnology, planting quality, thinning and seed expenditure in one of the cotton planting seed production farm are discussed in this paper. Possibility of taking seedlings in the conditions of natural soil humidity and its use, arising of thinning necessity in the result of disorded laying out of seeds in the row and un-quality of conducted thinning, losing of more than half (57.3%) taken seedlings have been revealed.
